Mission Life

About Me

My Bio

My name is Jonathan Benson.
Some of my interests are sports, gymnastics, music, family, and working with kids. I settled on being an elementary school teacher in college. Then, following my sophomore year I decided to take a year off and serve as a missionary at an orphanage in Bolivia. I took care of a house of boys, taught classes for 1-4th grade, and did a whole lot more! Even though the year had its ups and downs, I found a love for mission work. After returning to the states I prayed that if God wanted me to return to the mission field and leave college, that he would open a way. And through an impressive amount of what I can only explain as miracles, God has opened the way. Now I'm just following wherever He leads. I'm currently studying to become a mission pilot, with the hopes of returning to South America to serve as a missionary as long as God is leading.

Behind the Blogger

A little about me

I went to college to become an elementary school teacher. I love working with kids. My goal is to someday open my own mission project to help neglected and parentless kids. In this blog I'll be sharing about thoughts and experiences from my life as a missionary, as they happen. My goal is to share all the wonderful things God has done for me and just be real. I hope that what I share will show that God still works miracles today, and that you can be encouraged.
